Pat Alexander practices primarily in the areas of public finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and franchising. Pat has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of public finance, including tax-exempt and taxable debt financing transactions. He serves as bond counsel to various public authorities and other entities, including Nashville Electric Service and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency.

Pat also has extensive experience in the lodging industry, including the construction, financing, acquisition, disposition, franchising and management of lodging facilities.

Pat also serves as primary counsel to a number of real estate developers and has extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate developments.

Pat is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

  • Represented the seller/owner in the disposition of 32 hotels in a series of transactions with an aggregate selling price of more than $100,000,000.

  • Involved in the negotiation of more than 100 franchise agreements involving hotel properties across the country and an agreement with a licensee in the Peoples Republic of China.
