J. Sims Rhyne III


Sims Rhyne practice focuses in the areas of corporate and tax law, including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, corporate formations and reorganizations, financing transactions (including private placements and venture capital and angel investments), corporate governance and contract law. Sims has represented clients in various industries, including construction, construction materials, healthcare, information technology, investment management, manufacturing, professional service, real estate development, and retail.

While attending Cumberland School of Law, Sims was the writing editor of the Cumberland Law Review, the chair of the Cordell Hull Speakers Forum, and a Judge Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellow. After graduating from Cumberland, Sims received his LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law. Prior to law school, Sims received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Florida and his Master of Accountancy from the University of Florida.
