Richard Vann represents banks and financial institutions in civil litigation and compliance matters across the country as part of his litigation and financial services practice. His experience includes a diverse range of issues facing financial institutions and mortgage servicers, including lender liability lawsuits and representation of clients in consumer fraud litigation. Richard routinely assists his clients through a wide array of claims arising under state and federal regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and TRID, as well as claims regarding wrongful foreclosure and ejectment, deceptive trade practices, and fraud allegations. He advises financial services clients in wide-ranging regulatory and compliance matters. In addition, he represents clients faced with title conflicts and disputes over lien priority, so he routinely advises on dealings with taxing authorities, title insurers and homeowners’ associations.
Richard is admitted to practice before all state and U.S. District Courts in Alabama and Florida. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and obtained his Certified Fraud Examiner designation in 2016.
