About Distressed Asset Investing
As the recession continues, strategic and financial investment opportunities abound for those who have cash. Many of these opportunities are investments in the equity, assets, or debt of financially distressed companies. These sorts of investments require special skills of principals and their professionals.
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP has long had a distressed asset investing practice. Even when opportunities were few, we routinely assisted clients in acquiring and recovering on investments in distressed companies. We can now offer our experience to the broader investment community.
Our seminar will include seasoned veterans of all aspects of distressed asset investing – asset identification, acquisition, operation, and recovery – from both the principal and attorney perspectives. Our topics will include how to structure an investment, bankruptcy strategies, loan-to-own strategies, the loan purchase market, and related subjects regarding investments in operating companies and in particular assets in various market segments, including real estate and health care.
This seminar would be of interest to any investor or investment advisor who does or may work in distressed asset investing and to any lender who might fund such an investment.
