This interactive 5-day lecture series, sponsored by the Mortgage Bankers Association, kicks off the “Management Development Program,” an 18-month training program for management-level students. The charge of the program is to impart the knowledge students need to understand how FHA/HUD operates as a part of the larger industry. The program focuses on training its students to make well-informed decisions and to embody leadership roles. The course includes both single-family and multifamily participants in the classroom, from various cities across the country. Topics discussed include mortgage lending, enterprise risk management, loans, commercial and multifamily lending, senior housing, loan administration, quality assurance and fraud detection, ethics, regulatory compliance, law, and a discussion of current events.
