The SAFE Act and NMLS

Haydn Richards was a featured speaker at a three day conference in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 10-12, 2012. The summit – themed, “Rebuilding Housing in America” – examined the current state of homeownership in our nation, and assessed progress at the federal level in helping lenders, mortgage servicers and others involved in the housing industry. Richards discussed federal and state requirements arising from the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing (SAFE) Act. He focused on addressing how licensed and registered entities can comply with their SAFE Act obligations.
