It is critical for businesses to avoid running afoul of the law when classifying workers as independent contractors rather than employees. BABC tax attorneys, Bruce Ely and Sims Rhyne, along with Jenna Bedsole of Baker Donelson, will present “Independent Contractors vs. Employees: Avoiding Costly Myths/Mistakes” hosted by The Birmingham Regional Enterprise Council and the Women's Business Council of the Birmingham Business Alliance.

- Provide compelling reasons why the old adage “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” benefits companies who adhere to proper guidelines, and helps them to maintain and improve their cash flow.
