TechBirmingham, the Central Alabama Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (CAISSA) and the InfraGard Birmingham Members Alliance are once again very excited to host the Alabama Cyber Now Conference.  With two internationally known keynote speakers, Tina Meeker and Sadik Al-Abdulla, twenty breakout sessions, and your choice of four 1/2 day training sessions, conference attendees have the opportunity to learn about the latest in cybersecurity trends, technologies and best practices from industry experts. Niya T. McCray, CIPP/US, an associate in the firm’s business litigation and cybersecurity practice groups, will be leading a Breakout Session, Putting a Finger on the Problem: An Update on U.S. Biometric Privacy Law. During the session, Niya will cover the basics of biometric privacy, the uptick in litigation surrounding privacy laws, pending and current legislation, and future considerations, both legal and general to business.
