Data Privacy Basics for the Business Lawyer Spotting the Critical Issues

This program will offer practical tips and information to aid the general business law practitioner in spotting and handling data privacy issues raised by clients as they develop and distribute products and services. The speakers will provide an overview of key U.S. federal and state data privacy laws and regulation. In addition, the program will highlight the impact of privacy laws and regulations from outside the U.S., particularly the GDPR (EU) and PIPEDA (Canada), in the context of analyzing a hypothetical client’s online business.
