Harold Stephens Elected President of Alabama Defense Lawyers Association
H. Harold Stephens, a partner in the firm's Huntsville office, was elected the 2009-10 President of The Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. The ADLA is the nation’s fifth largest state defense lawyers organization with almost 1200 members.
Stephens was responsible for organizing and presiding over the group’s CLE program at the annual meeting in Sandestin, where all 5 judges from the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals were present. Additionally, 5 of the Justices on the Alabama Supreme Court, including Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb were in attendance. Speakers included former Supreme Court Justice Bernard Harwood and Scott Burnett Smith, who gave a presentation on protecting your case for appeal.
