“We congratulate both Scott and Chuck on well-deserved appointments, which reflect tremendous leadership within their fields of practice.” said John B. Grenier, Chairman of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings. “Both of these attorneys represent the best of what our firm is about.”

The DRI Appellate Advocacy Committee consists of appellate specialists from around the country, with the mission to improve the quality of appellate lawyering. The committee hosts a national appellate seminar each year, whose speakers include distinguished judges, academics and appellate lawyers. Smith is the founder of the Bradley Arant Boult Cummings Appellate Litigation Group, and has been involved in two cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He has also been involved in over 110 appeals to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Ninth, Eleventh, and D.C. Circuits, the Alabama Supreme Court, and the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. For the past three years, Best Lawyers in America recognized Smith in the field of Appellate Law, making him one of only 9 lawyers in Alabama recognized in this field.

With 3,200 members, DRI’s Product Liability Committee is one of the largest committees within DRI. The committee is comprised of 19 Specialized Litigation Groups, each of which focuses on a specific type of product and deals with those issues that are important to the various product manufacturers and defense lawyers within products liability law. Stewart has extensive litigation experience in several states defending national and international corporations in product liability, employment, toxic tort, and large personal injury cases, as well as commercial and intellectual property disputes. He is listed in two categories in Best Lawyers in America - Bet-The-Company Litigation and Commercial Litigation - and is included in Alabama Super Lawyers 2008 and 2009.
