Tennessee Bar Association Gubernatorial Forum
Nathan Ridley, of our Nashville office, led a continuing legal education panel discussion with an issues briefing for Tennessee Bar Association members at their 2010 annual convention as a prelude to the TBA’s gubernatorial candidate forum. Those topics included Tennessee’s system of merit selection, performance evaluation and retention elections for appellate court judges, criminal justice issues such as indigent defense counsel compensation, and civil justice issues such as limits on civil awards in medical malpractice cases. Nathan is a long time member and a past chair of the TBA’s Government Affairs Committee, and he is currently the chair of LAWPAC, the TBA’s political fund.
