Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that partner Margaret Oertling Cupples has been named one of the 50 Business Women of the Year by the Mississippi Business Journal. The annual program recognizes the achievements and contributions of women in business across the state. The women selected for 2010 were honored at an awards ceremony in August.

“This is a distinct honor for Margaret and we are proud to see her singled out in this way,” said firm chairman Beau Grenier. “As her colleagues, we already know the role she plays in the Mississippi business community, and we are pleased to see her work and commitment recognized.”

Ms. Cupples focuses her practice on civil appeals and commercial litigation. This includes insurance sales practices and consumer-finance litigation, as well as products liability and silica and asbestos mass-tort cases. She has served as litigation counsel to clients involved in cases throughout the country, and participated in more than two-dozen appeals in Mississippi's Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, and in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Cupples holds a J.D. (magna cum laude; Order of the Coif) from Washington & Lee University School of Law and a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Trinity University.
