Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP is pleased to announce that William R. Purdy has been inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Admission into the College is by invitation only, after a rigorous vetting process and multiple levels of approval, for the purpose of recognizing the nation’s best courtroom lawyers. Membership is limited to less than one percent of the top lawyers in each state.

Following a similar process a decade earlier, Bill Purdy became the first of only two Mississippians ever to be inducted into the invitation-only American College of Construction Lawyers. With admission to the American College of Trial Lawyers, Bill Purdy is only the third lawyer in the country to be named as a Fellow in both Colleges.

The high standards and selectivity of the American College of Trial Lawyers make it all the more remarkable that four partners in the Jackson, Mississippi office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings are members. In addition to Bill Purdy, Roy Campbell,Wayne Drinkwater, and Steve Thomas are all Fellows in the American College of Trial Lawyers. While Mr. Purdy specializes in construction law and government contracts,
Messrs. Campbell, Drinkwater, and Thomas handle commercial litigation of all types.

Accomplishments like these caused Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP to be highly rated in the first ever national survey of law firms recently completed by U.S. News and World Report in conjunction with Best Lawyers. Bradley ranked 4th in the nation in the number of top tier practice designations. The firm’s construction group was ranked in the first tier nationally.  Bradley Arant Boult Cummings has over 370 lawyers in seven cities, including Birmingham, Nashville, Charlotte, Jackson, and Washington, D.C.
