Real Estate Attorney Rod Clement Joins Bradley Arant Boult Cummings as a Partner in Jackson Office
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that W. Rodney Clement, Jr., one of Mississippi’s most prominent real estate attorneys, has joined the firm’s Jackson office as a partner. Clement will serve in the firm’s Real Estate and Real Estate Finance practice groups. He was previously a partner with Brunini, Grantham, Grower and Hewes in Jackson.
Clement’s practice focuses on commercial real estate and secured transactions. His clients include leading commercial developers, as well as borrowers, lenders and title insurers. Clement has advised on some of the state’s most important real estate projects, including the development of the King Edward Hotel into a mixed use hotel, apartment and retail building, and the development of the Standard Life Building into a mixed use apartment and retail complex. His other recent projects include financing construction of power plants; purchasing of telecommunications systems; financing development of natural resources, including coal and off-shore mineral interests; sale-leasebacks; and foreclosures of shopping centers and apartment complexes.

He is a member of the Board of Governors and Chair of the Leasing Committee of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. He also recently served as ABA representative to the Joint Editorial Board for Uniform Real Property Acts and vice-chair of the Real Estate Finance Group of the ABA’s Real Property, Trusts and Estates Section. Clement holds a J.D. from Washington & Lee Law School and a B.A. from Millsaps College.
