Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that partner Daniel Kaufmann has been recognized by the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation as an Outstanding Subcommittee Chair for the 2010-2011 bar year. Kaufmann serves as subcommittee chair for the ABA’s Business Torts Litigation Committee. He will be honored April 14 during the 2011 ABA Section of Litigation and Criminal Justice Section Annual Conference in Miami Beach, Fla.

Made up of experienced trial lawyers from throughout the country, the Business Torts Litigation Committee is one of the most active ABA committees. Its mission is to keep business litigators fully informed on burgeoning business torts such as fiduciary duties, fraud, unfair trade practices, tortious interference, trademarks and trade secrets, remedies, and evidence, as well as technological issues and developments that impact the practice area.

“We congratulate Daniel on this much-deserved recognition of his outstanding committee work for the ABA,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “We are appreciative of Daniel and all of our attorneys who commit their valuable time to efforts that support the legal profession in such an important way.”
A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Kaufmann focuses his practice on commercial disputes, professional liability claims and media law. He has extensive experience litigating disputes for plaintiffs and defendants in northern Alabama. Kaufmann’s clients include professionals, media outlets, public utilities, and local and state government entities. He holds a J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Alabama School of Law, and an M.P.A. and B.A. (cum laude) from the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
