BABC Partner Matt Lembke Appointed to the Constitution Revision Commission

Media Mention
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings partner Matt Lembke has been appointed by Senator Del Marsh to serve as a member of the Alabama Constitution Revision Commission. The Commission was authorized by the Alabama Legislature during the 2011 Regular Session to overhaul the 110-year-old Alabama Constitution. The group’s objective will be to remove “antiquated, unnecessary, or duplicative” aspects from the document; however, the Legislature directed that the Commission not propose alterations to certain constitutional provisions, including those involving taxation. The Commission has been given an aggressive schedule with its first suggested revisions due to be presented in next year’s regular legislative session.
