Bruce Ely Recognized by Prestigious Who’s Who Legal as Leader in Corporate Tax Law
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Bruce P. Ely, a partner in the firm’s Birmingham office, has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as one of the world’s leading corporate tax lawyers for 2011. Ely is the only attorney in the state to be listed in the 2011 “International Who's Who of Corporate Tax Lawyers.”
The “Corporate Tax Lawyers” guide is published by London-based Who’s Who Legal, which identifies leading lawyers in 31 areas of business law from more than 100 countries. Nominees are selected through independent surveys of clients and peers, and it is not possible to buy entry into the publication.
“We congratulate Bruce on this prestigious honor and recognition,” said firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “Bruce’s extensive experience and successes on behalf of his clients continue to help build our firm’s outstanding reputation in the field of corporate tax law.”
With 30 years of experience, Ely focuses his practice on representing taxpayers before federal, Alabama and local administrative and judicial forums; advising businesses on choosing the proper form of entity through which to conduct business in the Southeast and potential tax incentives; and advising companies and various trade and professional organizations regarding state and local tax legislative matters. He also devotes a substantial amount of time to teaching and writing on State and Local Tax (SALT)-related topics.
