Bradley Arant Boult Cummings Awards Diversity Scholarships to Vanderbilt and University of Alabama Law Students

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce it has awarded $15,000 in diversity scholarships to three local law students as part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to diversity in the legal profession. Each scholarship includes a summer clerkship at one of the firm’s offices.

This year’s diversity scholarship recipients are:

Zeterrika C. Tanner is a second-year student at Vanderbilt University Law School. She received her B.A. from Princeton University. Ms. Tanner will return to the firm’s Nashville office this summer for a second-year clerkship.

Wendy P. Wright is also a member of the class of 2013 at Vanderbilt University Law School, where she is a Chancellor’s Scholar. Ms. Wright holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) from Louisiana State University and will return to the firm’s Birmingham office this summer for a second-year clerkship.

Rhojonda A. Debrow Cornett is a first-year student at the University of Alabama School of Law and will clerk with the firm this coming summer in the Birmingham office. Ms. Debrow Cornett holds a B.A. from Emory University. She is an Academic Excellence scholar at the University of Alabama School of Law.

“We are thrilled to welcome Zeterrika and Wendy back to the firm this summer and look forward to working with Rhojonda,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “Diversity has been a core value and guiding principle of our firm, and we believe it is important to contribute to the development and success of these deserving law students.”

In addition to the firm’s scholarship program, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings commits a significant amount of time and internal resources to increasing diversity in its workforce. The firm hosts minority high school students as summer interns, and attorneys and staff at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings regularly organize, host and participate in programs, seminars and panels aimed at increasing the participation of women and minorities in the legal profession. The firm was the recipient of a 2011 Law Firm Diversity Recognition Award from the Chevron Law Function for demonstrating a commitment to diversity.
