Bradley Arant Boult Cummings Partner J. S. Christie, Jr. Selected as Fellow of American College of Employee Benefits Counsel
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Birmingham partner J. S. "Chris" Christie, Jr., who chairs the firm’s Insurance Practice Group, has been selected as a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC). Mr. Christie will be inducted during the group’s annual meeting in September.
The ACEBC selects employee benefits attorneys as Fellows based on their significant contributions to the advancement of the employee benefits field. Fellows have a minimum of 20 years of experience in the practice area. Dedicated to elevating the standards and advancing the public’s understanding of the practice of employee benefits law, the ACEBC states that Mr. Christie’s “record of notable achievement and dedication reflects the type of activities that the College was created to honor.”

Mr. Christie is a member of the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation, Litigation, Labor & Employment, and Health Care practice groups, and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. He represents employers, plans, HMOs and insurers in ERISA matters and other employee benefits litigation. Mr. Christie also represents hospitals, physicians and managed care organizations in healthcare matters. He has handled numerous class actions, multi-district litigation cases and other complex litigation.
Mr. Christie earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law. He also has an M.A. from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and a B.A., with honors, from Rhodes College.
