Bruce Ely Quoted Regarding Possible Online Tax Legislation

Bruce Ely, co-chair of the firm’s State and Local Tax Team, was quoted in the August 3, 2012, Birmingham Business Journal article, “Alabama Lags as Online Sales Tax Law Gains Steam.” The article discussed growing bipartisan support for legislation that will allow states to compel online retailers and others to collect and remit state and local taxes. Ely serves as legal counsel for the Alabama Retail Association.
