Michael Bentley, MAPE's new president, is an associate at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP in Jackson, where he maintains an appellate and commercial litigation practice. He recalls his introduction to MAPE more than a decade ago.
"My first experience with MAPE, and the great work that its volunteer board and all of its members do, was when I served on the staff of Governor Ronnie Musgrove in 2001. Working with Liz Hudson, we launched the Governor's Awards for outstanding school-community partnerships. Now, ten years later, I am so proud to serve as MAPE's president.
