Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Michael F. Walker, an attorney in the firm’s Birmingham office, has been selected as a member of the 2013 class of the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum.

The Alabama State Bar Board of Commissioners initiated the Leadership Forum in 2005 as a leadership training program for Alabama lawyers. The selection process is highly competitive for the program’s 30 new participants each year.

“Michael has demonstrated a commitment to serve our profession and our community that we all respect and want to nurture,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “We congratulate Michael on this prestigious honor and opportunity to further develop his leadership skills.”

Walker is a senior associate and a member of the firm’s Litigation and Class Action practice groups. His practice encompasses general civil litigation before state and federal courts, with a focus on mass torts and class actions. He also has arbitrated cases to decision before the American Arbitration Association.

Walker is an active member of the Membership Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Class Actions and Derivative Suits Committee. In addition, he serves the Birmingham Bar Association as a member of its Civil Courts Committee and is a former member of its Continuing Legal Education Committee. Walker earned his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law. He also has a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
