Birmingham Partner Chris Christie to speak at Rhodes College Phi Beta Kappa Chapter Induction Ceremony
J. S. “Chris” Christie, a partner in the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, will be the honored speaker at this year’s Phi Beta Kappa induction ceremony for the Rhodes College chapter in Memphis, Tenn. The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 10 at 11:30 a.m. in Hardie Auditorium located on the campus.
Mr. Christie, who received his undergraduate degree from Rhodes, was the second recipient of the school’s prestigious Peyton Nalle Rhodes Phi Beta Kappa Prize, the college's highest academic honor. Each year, the Prize is given to the graduating senior who has best demonstrated an exceptional combination of scholarship, creativity, achievement, and a commitment to the liberal arts.
After graduating from Rhodes and completing his law degree at Duke, Mr. Christie served in the Peace Corps in Cameroon. He is currently chair of the Insurance Practice Group at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP and co-chairs the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
