Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Birmingham partner John W. Hargrove, chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, has been elected as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence.
“We congratulate John on this well-deserved accolade that distinguishes him in the labor and employment practice area,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “This is one of the highest honors a lawyer can receive, in no small part because the election is made solely by peers who are considered to be among the best in this area of the law.”
Mr. Hargrove will be formally installed as a Fellow Nov. 9, 2013, in New Orleans, at an induction dinner during the American Bar Association (ABA) Labor and Employment Law Section’s Continuing Legal Education Conference.
The primary purpose of the College is to recognize lawyers who have made and are making an outstanding contribution to the labor law field, as well as to share knowledge and deliver value to the many different groups that can benefit from the organization. The College was established in 1995 through an initiative of the Council of the ABA’s Labor and Employment Law Section.
Mr. Hargrove’s labor practice extends to almost every area of employer-employee regulation. Also a member of the firm’s Construction and Procurement Practice Group, Mr. Hargrove represents public and private companies in the mining, construction, manufacturing, medical, communications and warehousing industries, among others.
