Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that partner Tracy M. Thompson has been named to the Advisory Board of the Blackburn Institute, a leadership development organization at the University of Alabama (UA).

The Blackburn Institute provides opportunities for leaders, the Blackburn Fellows, to explore issues and identify strategic actions that will improve the quality of life in Alabama and the nation. The Institute’s Advisory Board provides guidance for curriculum and speakers, and participates actively in lectures, symposiums and discourses. Board members also serve as mentors for students and fellows.

Ms. Thompson focuses her practice in the corporate and securities area, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, private placements of equity and debt securities, and general corporate advice. She regularly advises clients with regard to drafting and negotiating buy-sell, partnership and operating agreements, corporate and limited liability company structuring and reorganizations, and the formation and management of joint ventures. Ms. Thompson’s clients include public and private companies in a broad range of industries including financial services, private equity, manufacturing, health care, real estate development, technology, telecommunications, engineering, automotive, mining, timber and alternative fuels.

Ms. Thompson earned her J.D. from Yale Law School. She also has a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama.
