Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Jackson partner Alex Purvis has been selected as one of Portico Jackson Magazine’s fourth annual Portico 10, which recognizes the top 10 up-and-coming attorneys in the Jackson metro area.
Portico Jackson will feature the Portico 10 in its January 2014 issue.

The Portico 10 were selected through nominations from former Portico 10 honorees, law firms, attorneys in solo practice, community organizations and individuals. The Portico 10 honorees were evaluated on their accomplishments in legal practice, community involvement, and notable cases.
Mr. Purvis focuses his commercial litigation practice on negotiation and litigation of complex insurance coverage matters and product liability. He has handled all stages of the litigation and dispute resolution process, from initial case consultation through appeal. His experience includes cases in state and federal courts across the Southeast and in the Caribbean. Mr. Purvis also represents the Jackson office on the firm’s Associate Committee.
Mr. Purvis’ professional affiliations have included the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Division, Jackson Young Lawyers, Leadership Jackson, and the Defense Research Institute. Additionally, he is a board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Ms. Purvis holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law. He also has an A.B. from Davidson College.
