Bradley Arant Boult Cummings Partner J. William Manuel Named a Director of Jackson’s Capital Area Bar Association

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that partner J. William Manuel has been named a director of the Capital Area Bar Association (CABA), an organization of lawyers and judges in metropolitan Jackson. He will serve a two-year term beginning July 2014.

“We congratulate Will on his selection as a director of the Capital Area Bar Association and applaud the leadership he provides for the local legal community and our clients,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier.

Mr. Manuel will serve as a director for Post 3 of CABA, which provides members with benefits, including CLE programs, membership luncheons and other events, and pro bono opportunities through the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project.

Mr. Manuel focuses his practice on commercial and employment litigation and has handled various disputes for large and small businesses in Mississippi and other jurisdictions. His clients include manufacturers and commercial interests as well as insurance and financial services companies. He has worked to defend clients in both multidistrict litigation and individual actions brought in Mississippi. Mr. Manuel also has experience in advising businesses on issues involving age discrimination, sexual harassment, and wage and overtime disputes.

Mr. Manuel earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and has a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Mississippi State University.
