Mike Denniston Quoted in Law360 on Impending Supreme Court Decision, Possibly Bringing Closure to Energy Crisis Litigation

Mike Denniston of the Antitrust and Competition and Litigation Practice Groups, was recently quoted in a Law360 article entitled “Justices Eye Power Of Natural Gas Act In Antitrust Case” which explores the significance of the Supreme Court’s impending ruling regarding the Natural Gas Act’s preemption of state antitrust challenges to energy rates and practices of wholesale gas markets.

“Not all states take aggressive antitrust enforcement stances, and many states use the Sherman Act as the controlling authority as a matter of law,” said Denniston. “Still, there are several states that vigorously enforce their antitrust laws, and that's enough to concern gas companies.”
