Angela Holt and Patricia Head Moskal Among Benchmark Litigation Top 250 Women in Litigation 2014

Firm News, Accolade

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Benchmark Litigation has recognized firm partners Angela Holt and Patricia Head Moskal as among the Top 250 Women in Litigation for 2014. Moskal was the only Tennessee attorney to make the list. Holt was one of four in Alabama.

Each year, Benchmark’s Top 250 Women honors the accomplishments of America’s leading female trial lawyers, featuring top litigators from all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia. The honorees were determined through targeted research completed during the U.S Benchmark Litigation review process from February through June 2014. Peer review and overall depth of the attorneys’ litigation careers were important elements during this research. Benchmark Litigation is the only guide to law firms and lawyers that focuses exclusively on U.S. litigation.

“We are proud of Angie and Pat’s successes for our clients that have earned them this prestigious recognition among the top female litigators in the country,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier.

Holt, who works from the firm’s Huntsville, Ala., office, is among four attorneys in the state to make the list. According to Benchmark, Holt “draws great acclaim for her capabilities with intellectual property, commercial and business issues, and matters involving sophisticated technologies.”

Holt is a registered patent attorney, and her cases have involved patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, government contracting disputes (including bid protests), domain name disputes, breach of contract, employee disputes, and restrictive covenants. She holds a J.D. ( summa cum laude) from The University of Alabama School of Law. She earned a B.S. from Auburn University.

Based in the firm’s Nashville, Tenn., office, Moskal regularly represents high-profile clients. Benchmark singles out a recent matter in which she served on a team that successfully represented country music singer Clint Black and several of his companies in a suit against his former business manager and his related entities over breach-of-contract and breach-of-fiduciary-duty claims.

Moskal has more than 25 years of experience as a trial and appellate lawyer handling business and commercial disputes. She has a particular focus in state and local tax litigation, appellate litigation, and government contracts, and bid protests, as well as significant experience with class action, contracts and business disputes, insurance litigation, real estate litigation, and municipal law matters. Moskal received her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law and also has a B.A. from Indiana University.
