Charlotte Attorney Monica L. Wilson Named ABC Carolinas 2014 Individual Member of the Year
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Charlotte associate Monica L. Wilson has been recognized by the Carolinas Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) as its 2014 Individual Member of the Year.
The award honors an ABC Carolinas member who has contributed an exceptional level of service to the chapter, which represents the construction industry in North and South Carolina. ABC is a national trade association representing 22,000 members from more than 19,000 construction and industry-related firms. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and primarily includes firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.

Wilson is a member of the firm’s Construction & Procurement and Litigation practice groups. She represents contractors, subcontractors, developers, architects, engineers and sureties in public and private construction projects, focusing on risk mitigation and dispute avoidance throughout the construction process.
Wilson serves as co-chair of the ABC Carolinas 2014 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Committee, which is dedicated to ensuring the success of the annual EIC competition that recognizes the “best of the best” construction projects completed by general and specialty contractors in the Carolinas. In 2014, Monica helped ABC Carolinas launch a new online application platform for the EIC Competition as one of two pilot chapters nationally. Wilson also is a member of the ABC Carolinas Charlotte Council.
Wilson earned her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and also has a B.S. (summa cum laude) from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business Administration.
