Bill Matchneer and Jonathan Kolodziej were quoted in an article on MHProNews regarding a report recently issued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The article includes commentary from industry professionals, lenders, and attorneys on the ramifications of the Bureau’s report, in which it states that it “is committed to ensuring that consumers have access to responsible credit in the manufactured housing market.”

Kolodziej and Matchneer, who previously worked at the CFPB and directed the manufactured housing program for HUD, said in a joint statement, “This white paper should serve as a warning that the CFPB has taken an interest in the manufactured housing industry. The Bureau is continuing to monitor the impacts of the new mortgage rules on the manufactured housing market, which could signal that the Bureau may be open to making adjustments to the rules that would reduce burdens on creditors and lower the cost of credit for consumers.”
