Beau Byrd Quoted in Business Alabama Regarding Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit

Beau Byrd was quoted in Business Alabama regarding the economic boost caused by recent tax incentives for historic redevelopments. “Alabama’s new tax credits could help provide a greater stimulus to the state’s economy and boost its tax coffers,” said Byrd, who was part of the Bradley Arant Boult Cummings team that worked with local economic development groups to lobby for the tax credits for historic rehabilitation.

"The Legislature wanted to do something that was pro-business and pro-growth as far as helping development,” said Byrd. “You’re encouraging development rather than just bulldozing these great buildings that we have here, and giving developers the incentive to rehabilitate them and do something with them.”
