Bradley Arant Boult Cummings Partner Rusha C. Smith Named Alabama Law Foundation Fellow
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that partner Rusha C. Smith has been named a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation.
“We congratulate Rusha on this prestigious honor of being named a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “Rusha’s many professional and civic contributions demonstrate her leadership in the Birmingham legal community.”
Established in 1995, the Fellows program recognizes Alabama Law members who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to their profession and their community. The Alabama Law Foundation is the charitable arm of the Alabama State Bar. The mission of the Foundation is to provide access to justice for all and to cultivate a respect for and understanding of the law.
Ms. Smith focuses her practice on representing plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of complex cases in state and federal courts, involving environmental, commercial, professional liability, and product liability matters. Her clients have included coal developers, oil producers, insurance professionals, drug and medical rehabilitation companies, financing institutions, and various other product manufacturers.
Ms. Smith is a member of the board of the firm’s Alabama Political Action Committee and has been a member of the firm’s Finance Committee, as well as its Growth and Expansion Committee. In addition to various bar association memberships, Ms. Smith is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and previously was a board member of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Program. Her other current and past affiliations include the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and Firehouse Shelter, as well as the boards of Birmingham Opera Works, Magic City Art Connection, and The Exceptional Foundation.
Ms. Smith holds a J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and a B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
