Edward S. Sledge, IV and Stuart M. Maxey Join Bradley Arant Boult Cummings

Continuing the strategic growth of its Birmingham office, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Edward S. Sledge, IV and Stuart M. Maxey as partners. Mr. Sledge will be a member of the Litigation Practice Group, and Mr. Maxey joins the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Both were previously shareholders with Maynard Cooper & Gale PC in Birmingham.

Mr. Sledge has an extensive litigation practice, representing businesses in commercial, class action, financial services, and intellectual property litigation. He also represents a variety of businesses in personal injury and product liability matters, including manufactured home producers, engineering and professional services companies, trucking companies, an oil and petroleum company, a crane manufacturer and service company, and an event management services company. Mr. Sledge has a national practice and regularly represents clients in courts around the United States. He holds a J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law and a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Mr. Maxey focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, particularly private equity transactions. He has participated in more than 100 M&A transactions during his career. He also counsels investment managers and family offices on regulatory issues. In addition, Mr. Maxey advises private equity portfolio companies and family-owned businesses on general corporate matters. He holds a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, an M.Accy from the University of Mississippi, and a B.Accy from the University of Mississippi.
