Beau Byrd, Auburn University Trustee Selection Committee Appoint New Board Member

Beau Byrd, Vice President of the Auburn Alumni Association Board, served on the university’s Trustee Selection Committee which recently appointed Gaines Lanier to the district 5 position on the Auburn University Board of Trustees. His name will be forwarded to the Alabama State Senate for consideration for confirmation. Governor Bentley, who serves as president of the university’s governing body, thanked the 19 other nominees in a press release issued by Auburn University.

A commercial real estate attorney in the firm’s Birmingham office, Beau also chairs the Alumni Association’s Membership Development Committee and is a member on the Finance & Operations and Executive Committees. He graduated from Auburn University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and obtained his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1992. Beau serves as a member of the Professional Advisory Board of Auburn University’s Masters of Real Estate Development Program and is a member of the university’s Foy Society, Circle of Excellence Society, the Samford Society, and the George Petrie Society.
