Bradley Attorneys Author Amicus Brief in Support of an Indigent Party’s Privacy Rights
Michael J. Bentley and Simon T. Bailey, attorneys in the firm’s Jackson, Mississippi office, authored an amicus brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court case of Sai v. United States Postal Service, No. 14-646. The brief, filed on behalf of the Western Center on Law and Poverty and Legal Aid Association of California, argues that the Supreme Court should grant certiorari to clarify and protect the privacy rights of poor and low-income individuals who request permission to proceed in forma pauperis (i.e. – without incurring court costs) in federal court.
