Partner T. Sky Woodward Represents DRI Center for Law & Public Policy as Member of Delegation
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that firm partner and current DRI president John Parker Sweeney led a DRI delegation in testifying before Congress on class action reform on Feb. 27.
Mr. Sweeney’s testimony focused primarily on the need to remedy litigation where there are no-injury plaintiffs, the use of cy pres in award distribution, and the removal of class action suits to federal courts. The testimony was before the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice. The full text of Mr. Sweeney’s statement is available on the DRI website.
Class action reform has been a focus of DRI’s Center for Law & Public Policy since its inception in 2012. Bradley Arant Boult Cummings partner T. Sky Woodward, who also attended the February 27th hearing as part of the DRI delegation, chairs the Center for Law & Public Policy.
