Kristi Wilcox Arth Receives 2015 Cameron J. Miller Award

Firm News, Accolade

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that associate Kristi Wilcox Arth has been named the recipient of the 2015 Cameron J. Miller Award for Excellence and Community Service. The recognition includes a cash award of $10,000 to Ms. Arth’s designated charity, which will be split between Southern Word and Better Decisions.

The Cameron J. Miller Award for Excellence and Community Service is given in memory of Cameron J. Miller, who joined the firm’s Birmingham office as an associate in September 2011 and passed away on June 25, 2012, due to complications from leukemia. The annual award recognizes a first-year firm associate who exemplifies excellence in his or her legal work coupled with a high degree of community service involvement. The recipient chooses a charity to receive a $10,000 grant funded by the Bradley Arant Boult Cummings Foundation; Cameron’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller; and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perry, parents of Cameron’s fiancé, Katherine Perry.

“We congratulate Kristi and celebrate her commitment to her community,” said Firm Chairman Beau Grenier. “We are proud to recognize Kristi with this award, as it honors Cam’s memory and his fine example of service to others and encourages our associates and future leaders to follow in his footsteps.”

Ms. Arth has been actively involved in the community throughout her time at the firm, providing pro bono legal services through Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts, an organization under the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville. She also volunteers with Better Decisions, a program that pairs female volunteers with female inmates at the Tennessee Prison for Women, and serves on the board of Southern Word, an organization that works with underprivileged youth and seeks to increase youth literacy through the spoken word and art.

Ms. Arth is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. She handles a wide variety of litigation and intellectual property matters for individuals, small and large companies, tax-exempt organizations, and governmental entities. Ms. Arth received her J.D. (magna cum laude) from the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University, an M.A. from Ohio State, and a B.A. from the University of Alabama (summa cum laude).
