Partner David Joffe Quoted in Law360 on Supreme Court's Affordable Care Act Ruling

B. David Joffe, chair of the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group, was recently quoted in Law360 regarding the U. S. Supreme Court’s ruling to protect the ACA tax credit provisions. Joffe said the court upheld the validity of the tax credit available to individuals and emphasized the continuation of employers’ obligations of reporting requirements in 2016.

“Employers must now continue to prepare for the ACA mandate by identifying and tracking full-time employees, offering and providing required coverage (subject to the transition relief), reporting coverage information to the IRS, and preparing for the Cadillac tax,” Joffe said.
