Sid Trant Quoted in Business Alabama Regarding EPA Compliance Challenge

Inspired by tougher Environmental Protection Agency regulations, environmental law has become a greater risk consideration for many companies. Environmental justice initiatives proposed by the Obama Administration are open to broad interpretation and have proved challenging for businesses to follow. But as environmental lawyer Sid Trant explained, businesses can’t just sit on their hands.
“You’ve got to know what’s coming out of Washington,” Trant said. “We’re engaged from a government relation standpoint. We’ve lobbied for help in that regard. We’ve engaged EPA at both the policy and technical level to try to change or improve the rules, and I think that has resulted in something better for us.”
