Bradley Arant Welcomes 2015 Fall Associates
Bradley Arant is pleased to announce that the following six attorneys have joined the firm’s Birmingham office as associates:Rachel S. Byrd; J. Daniel Feltham, Jr.; Jake M. Gipson; J. Jackson Hill, IV; Stephen Parsley; and M. Riley Phillips.
Ms. Byrd has joined the firm’s Healthcare and Corporate and Securities practice groups. She earned her B.A. (with distinction) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her M.A. and J.D. (cum laude) from Duke University, where she served as the managing editor of Law & Contemporary Problems.
Mr. Feltham has joined the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. He advises public and private clients on a broad range of business issues, including mergers and acquisitions, business entity formation, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate reorganizations, financing transactions, and securities offerings. Mr. Feltham joined the firm following a clerkship with the Honorable R. David Proctor on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. He earned his B.S. (summa cum laude) from Auburn University and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as senior managing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
Mr. Gipson has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property and Litigation practice groups. He handles a variety of patent and trademark prosecution matters, as well as litigation matters involving patents, trademarks, and unfair competition. Before joining the firm, Mr. Gipson clerked for the Honorable William H. Pryor Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He earned his B.S. (summa cum laude) from the University of Florida and his J.D. (summa cum laude) from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as web editor of the Alabama Law Review.
Mr. Hill has joined the firm’s Financial Services Litigation and Compliance Practice Group. His practice focuses on representing financial institutions and mortgage companies in civil litigation matters. Mr. Hill earned his B.A. (with distinction) from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as an Associate Justice on Vanderbilt’s Moot Court Board.
Mr. Parsley has joined the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and product liability matters. He joined Bradley Arant after clerking with Judge Virginia Emerson Hopkins of the Northern District of Alabama. Mr. Parsley earned his B.A. ( with distinction) and his J.D. from the University of Virginia, and his M.A. from Georgia State University. He served as the articles development editor of the University of Virginia’s Virginia Sports and Entertainment Law Journal.
Ms. Phillips has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. She earned her B.S. (magna cum laude) from the University of Alabama and her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was a member of the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law.
