Kate Kliebert Interviewed on LXBN TV about Possible Cybersecurity Regulations from NY Dept. of Financial Services

Financial Services and Litigation Compliance attorney Kate Kliebert was interviewed by Colin O’Keefe of LXBN TV regarding possible cybersecurity regulation recommendations from the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). The NYDFS recently surveyed the companies that it regulates to assess cybersecurity risks. After examining the surveys and identifying areas of weakness, Kliebert suggested that the NYDFS seems prepared to issue recommendations on how financial institutions can better monitor and manage risk from a liability perspective.

“The survey identified relationships with third-party vendors as a weak link that financial institutions really want to be looking at and really making sure that contracts and services agreements are addressing cybersecurity concerns,” said Kliebert.
