Published by Thomson Reuters, Super Lawyers ranks attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Their patented selection process involves independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. The annual lists and profiles of selected attorneys are published in Super Lawyers Magazine and distributed to attorneys and ABA-accredited law school libraries across the state. The Super Lawyers list is also published as a special section in leading city and regional magazines across the country.
Only the top 5 percent of all attorneys in North Carolina are named as Super Lawyers. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state are named as Rising Stars, who must be 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 or fewer years.
