Bradley Arant attorney Aron Beezley was quoted in Construction Dive regarding the need to seek out legal advice during the federal contracting process. Making the move from private sector construction projects to government contracts can involve contract conditions that can be not only legally binding, but carry severe penalties if violated. Beezley believes it is never too early to seek legal counsel, particularly when the potential penalties can far outweigh the legal fees.
“I’m a big proponent of an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” Beezley said. “It’s better to put in the time up front to make sure that you’re complying with rules and regulations rather than hoping you’re in compliance.”
