Bradley Partner Beau Byrd Elected to Chair Auburn University Real Estate Program Advisory Council
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Birmingham partner Beau Byrd has been elected chairperson of the Auburn University Master of Real Estate Development (AUMRED) Program Advisory Council. Mr. Byrd’s term, which commenced in the spring, will last for two years.
“It is an honor to be elected to serve my alma mater in this new role,” said Mr. Byrd. “The Advisory Council plays a significant part in shaping the trajectory of each student within the Real Estate Development Program, helping to ensure that the curriculum aligns with and prepares students for the demands of today’s dynamic real estate industry. I look forward to carrying on the legacy of Auburn’s esteemed program over the course of my term.”
AUMRED is a partnership between Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction and the Harbert College of Business. The multi-faceted program was designed to provide students with an understanding of design, construction, market research, finance and development management.
Mr. Byrd’s practice primarily involves the representation of developers, owners and financial institutions in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, including tax credit transactions, Senior Housing, Retail, Office and Multi-Family. He has handled hundreds of real estate transactions throughout the country, from Washington to Florida and Maine to California.
Mr. Byrd earned his B.S. from Auburn University and his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he also serves as an adjunct professor.
