Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Zachary A. Madonia has joined the firm’s Birmingham office as a senior attorney on the Litigation team. Mr. Madonia was previously with Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago, where he focused his practice on antitrust, securities, and shareholder litigation.

“Zac is a widely respected, accomplished litigator, and we are happy to have him as one of the newest members of our growing litigation team,” said Bradley’s Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Beau Grenier. “Zac’s capabilities, experience and focus will certainly serve as an asset to our clients and the firm as a whole.”

Mr. Madonia’s practice focuses on the representation of public and private companies, and their officers and directors, in all stages of complex litigation. Some of his recent representative matters include federal securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits, state and federal antitrust litigation, intellectual property disputes, business torts, and breaches of contract. These cases have involved complex legal issues related to class certification, market definition, antitrust injury, loss causation, public disclosures, breach of fiduciary duty, patent damages, and the legality of a variety of business practices.

Mr. Madonia has a wide range of litigation experience in both federal and state courts, including examining witnesses, taking and defending depositions, working with expert and fact witnesses, writing and arguing dispositive motions, appellate briefs and oppositions to class certification, and managing significant electronic discovery. He is also actively involved in pro bono matters.

Mr. Madonia earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago and his B.A. (cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame.
