Recent bid protests have included an increased number of cybersecurity-related clauses, and the upward trend should continue as new regulations mandate cybersecurity safeguards and updating malicious code protections. Since the start of 2013, 38 Government Accountability Office (GAO) or Court of Federal Claims decisions have mentioned cybersecurity-related issues or claims, compared with just eight in all of the previous years, explained Beezley.
