Bradley Partner Named to Nashville Health Care Council Board

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that partner Jay Hardcastle has been appointed to a one-year term on the Nashville Health Care Council’s board of directors.

“It is truly an honor to serve my colleagues and clients as a member of the Council’s 2017 board,” said Mr. Hardcastle, who leads Bradley’s Healthcare practice group. “It is exciting to experience Nashville’s momentum in healthcare, and the industry is increasingly vital to our incredible city. I wholeheartedly believe in the Council’s mission and look forward to uniting with the rest of the board to accomplish the goals laid out for the coming year.”

Founded in 1995 as an initiative of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville Health Care Council is an association of healthcare leaders who partner to further establish Nashville’s position as America’s healthcare industry capital. Supported by nearly 300 corporate members, including local and national healthcare companies, the Council fosters a supportive operating environment for existing, start-up and relocating healthcare businesses. Through educational programs, the Council provides executives with timely information on key operational and policy challenges facing healthcare companies, as well as networking and mentoring opportunities. Mr. Hardcastle advises hospitals, surgery centers, physicians, long term care providers, imaging centers, cancer centers and other participants in the healthcare industry in connection with joint venture formation, general regulatory issues, corporate matters, and the purchase and sale of healthcare facilities. He also focuses on drafting contracts for providers and physicians, advising clients on Medicare and Medicaid issues, providing assistance in the defense of whistleblower claims and advising tax-exempt entities in the healthcare area.

In addition to his Nashville Health Care Council leadership, Mr. Hardcastle belongs to the American Health Lawyers Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section. He is a past chairman of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Health Law Section and the Nashville Bar Association’s Health Law Committee.
