Tripp Haston Appointed Dean of Esteemed Corporate Counsel College
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Birmingham partner Tripp Haston has been appointed to serve as Dean-Elect of the 2017 International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) exclusive Corporate Counsel College (CCC) and Dean of the CCC for 2018. IADC president John T. Lay, Jr. appointed Mr. Haston to these posts.
“The CCC is a truly unique event for corporate counsel. I have found it to be exceptionally valuable for my clients and for me to learn about their most pressing issues of the day and successful strategies to manage those issues,” said Mr. Haston. “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to give back to an institutional event that has provided my clients and me with terrific value.”
The annual CCC is a dynamic and interactive invitation-only event for corporate counsel from across the nation. It is held annually in Chicago and designed to provide a learning experience that capitalizes on the vast knowledge and talent of panelists, in-house corporate counsel and outside counsel attendees. In each session, moderators engage the audience and panel members in a spirited and educational discussion about front-of-mind issues, sometimes posing hypothetical situations to stimulate further discussion. As CCC Dean-Elect and Dean, Mr. Haston will partner with 2017 Dean, Molly Hood Craig, and their advisory boards to select topics and speakers for the 2017 and 2018 events, and to handle overall event execution. He will also give the 2018 opening address and closing comments at the event.
“Tripp is extremely deserving of this distinguished opportunity,” said Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Beau Grenier. “He has been a dedicated IADC member and leader for years, serving as a motivating and influential force among his colleagues and within his industry. I know his term as Dean-Elect and Dean of the Corporate Counsel College will be very successful and he will facilitate the provision of great value to corporate counsel attendees and their guests.”
“My goal is to identify cutting-edge and timely topics for corporate counsel with United States market responsibilities, to select excellent and knowledgeable speakers on those topics, and to deliver presentations in an engaging manner that facilitates peer-to-peer interaction with audience members and speakers,” said Mr. Haston.
Mr. Haston is the Co-chair of Bradley's Life Sciences team. He has been a member of the IADC since 2001, serving as a member of its Board of Directors from July 2010 through July 2016 and as President from July 2014 through July 2015. In his practice, he represents a broad spectrum of clients on regional, national and international engagements. Mr. Haston has served numerous clients as national trial and coordinating counsel and as a national team member in individual actions as well as mass tort and multi-district litigation. His experience has involved matters throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and South America.
